I have literally been buried in research, planning, and site building for the past two weeks and have sorely neglected this blog. I apologize to my readers.
I made the decision that if I were going to increase my income, I needed to diversify. Pat, a great friend and mentor whom I met in a forum has been taking this latest journey with me…sometimes holding my hand and strolling toward this expanded goal, sometimes putting a firecracker under my butt and blowing me forward. I find myself in learning mode big time again and bordering on overload. I’m bogged down in the parts of the business that I don’t particularly enjoy and which I have resisted becoming proficient in. The luxury of having a good friend to tutor me and keep me focused has made it almost tolerable for this change-resistant, tech-challenged old lady.
So once again I have come full circle to the idea of relationship marketing and how important others are to the success of our businesses. I would still be mired down in confusion and indecision were it not for Pat and her guidance and encouragement. Internet marketing IS first and foremost a people-intensive and relationship-focused business.
